TEST-DRIVE/WORKSHOPS

I have two stitch regulated machines - a Millennium and a Freedom.  These machines are available for a test drive.  It is necessary to call ahead and make an appointment. There is no charge for a one to two hour test drive.

WORKSHOPS

1. Free Work Shop:   With the purchase of any APQS machine, you receive a free one day workshop. The workshop takes place 4 to 6 weeks after you receive your machine. 

2. Mastering the Pantograph: You may bring your own quilt and in one day, we will go through the complete procedure of quilting a pantograph. We will discuss pattern choice, thread type and colour, batting, mounting direction, and problem quilts. You will leave the class confident in your ability to tackle a pantograph on your own. Cost is $200.00

3. Freehanding:  We will discuss different ways to freehand background, borders, and plain blocks. I will show you short-cuts that allow you to do a custom quilt with out having to turn it or mark it; plus lots of other tips. Cost is $200.00

4. Moving into Custom Heirloom: Where do I start - what do I do? This class shows you how to avoid the disasters of the use of wrong thread, poor design choice and other pitfalls. You will learn the way to stabilize first, the many ways to transfer designs and how to let the quilting enhance the quilt - not over take it. Cost is $200.00

5. Three-day Workshop: If you take the three classes in a  three consecutive day workshop, the cost  is $550.00. All the classes are hands on and are limited to a maximum of 4 students. Lunch is provided and I can also provide bed and breakfast accommodation.

The  workshops are from 9:30am to 4:00pm. 

The B&B is $75.00 per night. I request a deposit of 50% of the cost at the time of booking. You may cancel 14 days prior to the class and all but $25.00 of your deposit will be refunded.
